about

Recorded above Watergrove Reservoir but below the line of open country where the moorland starts. It was too moist for the reeds on Adam and Michael's instruments up on the top so we decamped to a sheltered wooded area with better climatic conditions. The danger of letting the plain dwellers choose the day on the tops. This was Wednesday 16th September. Tour of wooded areas and various cereal fields in Mersey Valley & Cheshire Plain to follow in the Spring.
